Advertising copywriting is like walking your dog. Sometimes business gets done right away. Other times, you have to search and search for just the right spot. Well, when I got the opportunity to work with the people at Petsmart on a Holiday campaign, the idea for a radio spot came to me rather quickly — convince pet owners that buying holiday gifts for their dogs and cats was a great idea because pets are just like family. And, of course, there is no better place to buy them than at Petsmart. I also co-wrote a jingle “Yeah, we love’em just like you do,” to support the “Where pets are family” brand promise.
